      HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR OTI DENTAL IMPLANT AFTER TREATMENT

      After completing the implant procedure, patients will receive a personalized follow up schedule from the dentist to monitor healing and the integration of the implant with the jawbone. During each stage of recovery, it is important to follow the instructions below to help ensure stable and long term treatment results.

      DURING THE FIRST 1 TO 2 DAYS AFTER IMPLANT PLACEMENT

      • Do not rinse your mouth forcefully or spit, as this may dislodge the blood clot at the implant site.
      • Do not hold saliva in your mouth. Swallow naturally.
      • Do not use a straw. Drink water or milk directly from a cup.
      • Clean your teeth gently and avoid direct contact with the newly placed implant area.
      • Mild bleeding, inflammatory discharge, or dull discomfort may occur during the first 1 to 2 days. Some patients may also experience slight swelling of the lips or cheeks.
